STEAL ME AWAY by Abdulbasit Abubakar Wordsmith

Read Time:35 Second

The sight of her passing by,
Is a delicious feast for my eyes,
I am thrilled and mesmerised,
When she is gone I am mortified,
I long for a smile, a look in return,
With longing, my pent-up passions burn.

She came by same time today,
As usual she took my breath away,
My wide open eyes just had to stay,
On this incredibly lovely display,
Oh, I beg you, my secret friend,
Bring my longing to an end.

See me waiting in the shade,
Wanting to speak but too afraid,
Look my way, notice me,
Standing under the leafy tree,
How I wish I could catch your eye,
If only I were not so shy.
