off she sent me with a shove
I ran all the way home
buried my tears in my foam.
Seasons later we did meet
her richer man had cold feet
he ran without a moment’s pause
Like me once now she was.
To me then she did turn in tears,
hoping to have me again in her fears,
but I told her I had found another,
and twice her heart broke further!
