RAIN IS COMING

Rain is coming
See the clouds gathering
From ends to ends.
Yesterday’s was little
I hear it will be worse.
The waters are gathering again
It will pop the clouds open,
Shower heavy rains, not just drizzles
And overflow the dams and rivers.

Now the earth trembles with fear
It is the inhabitants that make the earth.
Now they tremble in fear.
How many homes will be lost?
How many lives will be swept away?
Like they never did matter
Upon the earth where they ought to dominate.
The rain is coming.

I hear Cameroon is opening it all up again,
I don’t hear of the dredging
I hear of the looting and siphoning
That it has covered the eyes of the watchers.
Then we are left off guards again,
We will fire brigade and make headlines
Only for us the count the bodies and sunken shelters
Rain is coming.
