PRECIOUS MEEMAH by Oluwatosin Ayodeji

Read Time:51 Second

Among thorns – obstacles
We sat all night
And read words within my lines
resonating lines — Poetry
That teases bodies and minds

Felt the hair in my follicles
Rising in the air
As I smell her breath teasing my nerves

I felt a part of me
Grew fonder and stronger -(???)
I felt a part of me ran farther and closer — thought
But the atmosphere stanched my flow
Impeding me from the path of precious meemah

Who is precious Meemah?
She’s the prettiest
Of them all
Words are too weak to replace her beauty
Her eyes lightens the dark
Her nose points
into my eyes with bliss
Chocolate is the word for her lips
She’s is indeed a precious to behold.

Only if she could whisper
Only if she could say
Come have a taste of my lips
I will hold her hands
I will break the roof — All obstacles
Just to sketch her name in the sky.
