And palms torn from long swords clutching<br>
Yet you prattle like a rattle<br>
While corpses burn as the fires crackle.</p>
<p>Women worn from crying<br>
Girls worn from raping<br>
And yet you prattle like a rattle<br>
While girls are carted away like chattels.</p>
<p>Children,the natural course of growth defying<br>
And infants from kwashiokor dying<br>
Yet you prattle like a rattle<br>
While men are slain like cattle.</p>
<p>Bombings and shootings and killings<br>
Mass graves and streets keep filling<br>
Yet you prattle like a rattle<br>
While families lose their all in battles.</p>
<p>The victims you keep consoling<br>
And the insurgents keep seizing and occupying<br>
Yet you prattle like a rattle<br>
And on the media tattle.</p>
<p>Soon your fortress they’ll come seizing<br>
And on your guarded courts they’ll come looting<br>
Even while you yet prattle<br>
You’ll get swallowed by this battle.</p>
