MANHOOD

Read Time:39 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Manhood]
Manhood is not a rite,
Until we get manhood right;

A true man should be a father
Ready to love his children’s mother,
Not a sexual predator,
But a loving protector,
Not some disembodied appetite,
Winning an imbalanced fight.

Mothers raise your children to be men
With true respect for women.
Fathers raise them with responsibility,
Not thinking only of sexual ability.
Your daughters will thank you,
They are your children too.

“I raised two daughters, and the fathers of their children are men after my own heart. They were not raised with some false double standard, and will not tolerate that in their sons.” ~ Albert Jungers
