I SAW THE LIGHT

Read Time:51 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [I Saw The Light]
My thoughts were puzzled!
In obscurity, my mentality entangled
I was always fighting from behind
Yet, the light of freedom, remained unfound

O! Poor you, my defeated mind
Your aspiration goes… no rewind?
When struggles’ dark quenched your light
In hesitation you were, to rekindle back to life

As I sink in despair’s sea
Impossibility all around, I see
Lost in futility, I shaded my insight
Could not see the future, beaming bright

But hey! Then came the moment… I’m favoured
The ‘Almighty’ paints, my black is coloured
And I saw it, His glorious light
Shimmering, so bright

The New Year crept in
Sounds of new hope booming
They suggests my heart’s liberation
Ah! I have received fresh inspiration!

My hope is awake
It jumps out of the lake
Of many years of retardation
Of slumber, of daily degradation
