I QUIT

Read Time:53 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [I Quit]
My life of blessed poverty…
In ignorance, I danced happily
In steady retirement, craving my shadow’s candour
Alas! I liquidated all to have a better life!

Riches from the world beneath
Flowing from life’s sector
Ranging from midget income
Fading into humanity’s giant riches
All owns my father

The world’s wisest wisdom
And profound foolishness
Are His natural dom
Displaying all in awed mightiness

Even great kings bow
Casting crowns at
His feet
Royalty, stooping in humility

But like a slave I lived
With wobbling knee
I dwelt in attractive caves
Eating crumbled crumbs

Now I quit
I quit asking for my right
I moved into the ancient palace of light
Eating crumbled crumbs

Now I quit
I quit asking for my right
I move into the ancient palace of light
I’ll acquire from dad’s store
All I require for life.
Forcing a smile, I quit
‘cos a river of joy now flows in my vein
