HALF GOLDEN SUN

Read Time:53 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Half Golden Sun]
‘twixt four scores in the edge of the east
We clamour in distress
Amidst the lands, we lost, in fatricide and genocide
Clanging the bell of warfare for our interest
To acclaim the ‘land of the rising sun’
And traverse the green-white land
Abound with pebbles and thorns against the masses
Immature in their senses and filled with scorn
Leaving ‘our’ souls blank and downtrodden

Four scores in the edge of the east
We sobbed for our impoverishment
And had no thought for our ‘masters’ in their exorbitant fortress
Alas! About our ailments they care notRather they proffer sundry nemesis
And blatant lies as promises
“We are waging a steady battle against poverty”

Regardless of your words
We embrace no change
Tossed in political drainage
And willed for self luxury
And had driven patriotism in the wheel of cloudy nursery
Immature and senseless

Within your follies, we foresaw
The half golden sun
