FULFILMENT: by Aremu Adams

Read Time:30 Second

Finally, it’s been fulfilled.
A day hen protects not her chick
With charges that scare off predators,
As each feathery-strands stand
At the end of their fluffy tails.
How gorgeous her chick would be;
Adopted by the eagles
Garmented with talons
Sheltered in eyries?
For these, it’s been fulfilled.

Patiently, it will be fulfilled.
One day, a chick will prey on his hen
With his large hooked beak
Qualified to capture meals.
One day his talons will seize
The crown on his mother’s head
As she will be dangling
Freely in the wind
Cackling beggarly,
And then, it will be fulfilled.
