A day hen protects not her chick<br>
With charges that scare off predators,<br>
As each feathery-strands stand<br>
At the end of their fluffy tails.<br>
How gorgeous her chick would be;<br>
Adopted by the eagles<br>
Garmented with talons<br>
Sheltered in eyries?<br>
For these, it’s been fulfilled.
<p>Patiently, it will be fulfilled.<br>
One day, a chick will prey on his hen<br>
With his large hooked beak<br>
Qualified to capture meals.<br>
One day his talons will seize<br>
The crown on his mother’s head<br>
As she will be dangling<br>
Freely in the wind<br>
Cackling beggarly,<br>
And then, it will be fulfilled.</p>
