CREATION: by Benjamin Elemide

Read Time:40 Second

I was on the 2015th stairs of time
In the room of reason on a bright morning
When I stumbled across a film-
The creation.

Curiosity lined by brow as I inserted
Past into reality powered by life.
I saw Thomas Edison in a dark world:
He said, let there be light, and there was bulb.

Soon, I saw waters gathered together.
And there was call for separation.
Then, the waters above became tears
And those beneath tired skin sweats.

Things were horrible, task strenuous,
Work tedious, living difficult,
And the host of scientific angels shouted,
Let there be ease, and there were machines.

Man is social, he said, let us make man
In our image after our likeness.
They made metals and breath power into it,
And it became robot with robust engines.
