I CAN’T FALL IN LOVE AGAIN by Osoba Taiwo Peter

Read Time:1 Minute, 8 Second

Your love suddenly turn to hate
You never care what will be my fate
The reason for your sudden change you refuse to say
And leave me weeping all the day

The promises you made, you didn’t keep
But leave a deep
Hole in my heart
Despite promising heaven and earth

The feelings I have for you is true
But you leave me sad and blue
You never promised our love won’t last
From the start

The promises you made to put a wedding ring on my finger
Still in my heart linger
The way you had me embrace
The once known smile on your face

I daily bleed inside
The love I have for you can’t be hide
But you never care about the way I feel
In my heart you left a hole that can’t be fill

My eyes is filled with tears
You are the only one that can have me cheer
You are toying with my soul
And it hurts than a burning coal

You have made me to lost my pride
Here I laid on my bed and cried
My ego has been hurt
And my pride you burst

I don’t think I can fall in love again
You left in my heart: stains, scars and pains
I can’t give another person chance
Even if the person’s love is confirmed in a trance

I fell in love with poetry in the year 2014 because I see poets as geniuses who dive into peoples thoughts and imaginations and pen it down to inspire and to chastise.
