A quantity of such should measure bags of cereals
But it counts the total of our lost future
pinching her wound exactly where it was sutured
We’ve given our voices in support
by the echoing voice of our siblings round the globe
“We are giving our all” they purport
Yet they sleep sound in comfort robe
Every second spent in Sambisa is a risk taken
Can’t you see the devil has turned deaf lobes to the threats you’re making?
Are their lives to be traded for your senseless excuses?
Wish you have a taste of how painful are such bruises
But hear me, you that scorn my mother and her land
Nemesis to you may seem so far
A stone thrown to a foreign land
Might somehow return to your private bar
