ALLURING DAWN

Read Time:42 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Alluring Dawn]
As the night grows and wears thin
The moon fades and darkness prevails
Though stars glow from within
Yet slumbered souls are set to sail

Arms and fists, crescents and crowns
Lay wearied as the silence intrudes
Crickets hop and frogs go afrown
As though the day had been but rude

Lovers swim in the allurement of night
Whilst loneliness chokes a ready bride
O mild hours! Like angels in white
What shall I call thee, or shall I astride?

With such eloquence of thy alluring dawn
Verily, I await thee on this solitary lawn
