A BETTER MAN by Awa Chigozie J

Read Time:50 Second

A Better Man

Everyday I come closer to death
By being alive
I stand in between guilt
And a struggle for life

Truth lies that I know
A thing about life
Sadly I feel it’s all no
Till I see the end to this strife

In a commuter bus
To and fro life sphere
The passengers and their different gods
Who really knows where after here?

A better man
Is who my heart wants to be
Someone who you look up to see
And end up saying “he can”

I just want to be
A definition of it
After all we never have a harvest
When we die and meet thee

So much love
So much faith
At the end what does it solve
When it all ends in fate

There is never a better man
You can never see one
Rather than
The being who believes he can
