Do you Richard Ali?
He is a Nigerian writer and here are 3 things we think you should know about him:
- RA is a nomad at heart – born in Kano, raised in Jos, studied at Zaria – whose love for places other than home has taken to Morocco, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Germany, Italy and USA. Books and coffee are his two other emphasis.
- As an undergraduate, RA was secretary of a NANS committee on interreligious dialogue and editor of Sardauna Magazine. He runs a programme on countering extremism with literature, has worked in government. His favourite colour is green.
- An author with two published two books – City of Memories (novel, 2013) & The Anguish and Vigilance of Things (poetry, 2019), RA co-founded Parresia Publishers Limited and is now working to set up #TIgrayCoffee Company with a plan to make coffee a human rights issue in Nigeria..
