WHAT AWAITS MY COMING

Read Time:58 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [What Awaits My Coming]
Here I stand, and there I stand
Wavering in two opposite lives
I laugh out my genuine pretense
In a world bizarre and unknown to me

I tread on a soil nourished with
The remains of my ancestral fathers
With a glimpse of my future revealing
Nothing beyond my expected passing

If the power of words can liberate me of my sins
Then I shall write till the end of time
For I fear being slaughtered like fowl
Even though the crying times permit it

I see phantoms of grunting souls
Groaning in anguish for a deserted life
Some pledge their allegiance to the darkness
Others swim in a pool of solid regret

Yet, this question haunts my existence
Like demons of the medieval eras
If what I see is the doom of sinners
Then what awaits my coming?!
