LAZY BONES

Read Time:43 Second

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Lazy Bones]
Your mates are working
But you’re snoring
Forget not, the day of reckoning;
You shall lament
While others harvest!

Stretch not your jar to fetch,
From this valley to quench your thirst
Hide not your face; shame, on it etched
Cos you failed to give your best.

The time is ticking
Bidding farewell
Work now! The flesh is willing.
Or bite fingers for a long spell.

The sun frowns at your indolence
Get up! Why skate this ice?
Your eyes see not from its blurred lens,
That time waits for no man?

Take this advice and work while young,
Or till the soil when you’re old
Shut aside temptations to snore
And fill your jars till it overflows.
