HUNGRY CHILD
He lies on the ground
Scorched by the Sun Sucking at his dry tongue,
Pinching the sores that had almost dried
A swarm of flies crowd around his face
Licking the dried mango juice on his lips
Too weak to wave a hand
He wishes one fly would fall into his mouth Exhausted from crying
With dried tears
