FOR A STAR by Oluwaseyi Olatunji

Read Time:1 Minute, 18 Second

For a star;
I draw lines from muse,
Yes, for a stunning star,
I’m breaking rules.

If every wish would be true,
Like the Caribbean blue,
Then haste my feelings be told,
That they pretty turn to gold.

Obnoxious as it may seem,
Beautiful intents do I deem,
I wish angels would tell;
How high I fell.

It was not your skin of milk,
Nor your face as fine as silk,
What I saw was the true beauty,
Causing my emotions the unruly.

Strange how my heart falter,
Wounding up on your shore,
No borders or bother,
Yet my heart seems at war.

I made no special requirement,
Yet your fancy found my embellishment,
Yes, you are a star,
A heavenly view you are.

I am like a child,
My acts can be rough or mild,
I wish you chide me like a mother,
Love me that my love doesn’t falter.

Oh what a feeling to love!
Makes the heart soar high above,
In the eyes of my mind I behold,
Pictures; future yet untold.

Slowly the truth is loading,
A comfy corner my heart is molding,
My heart is warming for you,
You better the best and I got it true.

I want you to be my star;                                                                                                                                                                   My bright and shiny star,
I’m not the best; I had to find you,
I have to tell you; I need you.

For a star;                                                                                                                                                                                             Yes, for this beautiful star,                                                                                                                                                                   I’ll start a new start,                                                                                                                                                                           And I’ll show you how much I cherish your heart.
