A Father Indeed

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [A Father Indeed]

A Father is a friend
Who understands our weaknesses and weariness
Yet promotes our strength and song
He sticks closer than a brother.

A Father is the Authority
Who lives by example
Demands discipline though it pains
He walks with us through the desert.

A Father is a Treasure of Truth
Though we wander away
He waits for us to return home.

A Father is our Energizer
Though the race of life drains us
Our Father succours and supports us.

A Father is our Restorer
We may stumble and sustain injury
Like the wounded soldier, we hurt within
Our Father will restore us again

  • This is very beautiful. You have captured the essence of the role of a “Father ” on many levels. Amazing poetry as usual.
