7 BILLION PEOPLE

7 Billion People

www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [7 Billion People]

So many people, but it’s just me
So many people, but it’s just you
I looked at them and see no face
All to it but a blurred case
For I am to them, another person
Scrounging and scrapping
Scarcity in the midst of abundance
My body is aching in protest
My stomach is in the contest
But I am just one of the 7 billion people

So many people, but it’s just me
So many people, but it’s just you
I open my mouth but no words came out
My mind is gagged like my mouth
All I am is another threat
Shouting and screaming
At increasing injustice and war
My ear is echoing their deeds
My world is corrupted by their seeds
But I am just one of the 7 billion people.

So many people but it’s just me
So many people but it’s just you
I take a sniff and I churned up
And my puke is like the next
So smelly and rotten like the society
Leaders all in war for their pocket
Enlarging the dichotomy between the poor and rich
All I want is freedom and fair play
But all I smell is bondage and foul play
But I am just one of the 7 billion people
